VINCENZO MARSIGLIA

Bio

He studied art at the Imperia Art Institute and then at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, where he graduated in Painting. He began exhibiting in the 1990s with solo and group exhibitions in private galleries, museums and public spaces in Italy and abroad.
Vincenzo Marsiglia’s works are characterised by their development from a four-pointed star, which over time becomes his hallmark, a veritable ‘logo’ of the artist. The construction of his works becomes, so to speak, an obsessive operation that generates components in which this symbol is combined with fabric, felt-tip pens, sequins and ceramics, in a game where rhythm and form, rigorous and balanced, recall the lesson of the masters of abstract art and minimalism. However, in his most recent creations, the artist employs technological tools that combine with the painterly nature of the sign characteristic of his previous research phase. In these works, we find both a contemporary aspect related to new communication tools and the desire to create not a concrete, finished and determined object, but an evolving and transitory work of art. Through the interaction with the viewer, the work of art finds its realisation in the process of connection and mutation, which also leads to a decrease in the distance between the art object and the viewer.

  MILENA SGAMBATO Bio Milena Sgambato graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 2008. The undisputed protagonist of her works is the indefinite: from the characters, ambiguous, with concealed faces, to the timeless and aspatial settings. MARKÈTA ŠENKYŘÌK Bio Markéta Šenkyřík, a bookbinder and illustrator originally from the Czech Republic, but who has lived and worked in Bernalda since 2020. She studied book design in Ostrava, and Belli Arti in Clermont-Ferrand in France. Then the arrival in London where she worked for Shepherd’s Bookbinders and co-managed an independent art space, 139Artspace. As an illustrator, her work includes the ‘limited edition of 24 illustrated booklets used as script presentations for Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis film project, commissioned by the director.     MARCO TAGLIAFICO Bio He lives and works in Alessandria. He studied Oriental languages and completed his training in the master’s program at Fondazione Modena Arti Visive. His work has been exhibited in various shows, including: Ligne(s) de Mire (Bonisson Art Center, 2025), As Islands (Castel Belasi, 2024), Boiling Projects (Fondazione Oelle Catania, 2020), Da Guarene all’Etna (Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Guarene, 2019), 10 Years Old (Foro Boario Modena, 2017). In 2024 he won the Espoarte Arteam Cup award, in 2023 the MZ Costruzioni prize at Art Verona, and in 2021 the New Post Photography award at Mia Fair.
